My favourite brand

In 1962 the Luxury french fashion house Yves Saint Laurent was established, and has continued to shape the ready to wear industry ever since. Today Yves Saint Laurent is know as YSL and Saint Laurent and has various departments ranging from haute couture, leather accessories, fragrances as well as its main specialty in ready-to-wear for both men and women that started in 1967. 

 A tuxedo inspired by Saint Laurent menswear was introduced exclusively for women in 1966 and became an instant hit, revolutionising evening wear and women’s fashion. The influence of his revolutionary work is still strong today, with many celebrities wearing elements of his style and work, such as Angelina Jolie’s braless ensemble for the 2014 British Academy Film Awards.
